Irish folk band Ishna, TMC’s orchestra and choir explore Celtic culture in Boston
McGRATHPR.com – Tutti Music Collective (TMC) presents its fall concert “A Celtic Celebration – exploring the rich tradition of Celtic music,” on Saturday, November 8, 8 to 10 pm, St. Cecilia Church, 18 Belvidere Street, Boston. The concert features Irish folk band Ishna and Tutti Music Collective’s orchestra and choir, under the direction of Elijah Langille, conductor.
“A Celtic Celebration” is an orchestral and choral program that explores the rich tapestry of Celtic festivals, tracing their ancient Pagan roots and their evolution into Christian traditions. Become immersed in the timeless heart of Ireland through music, blending choral music with traditional Irish and orchestra instruments. This unforgettable and collaborative evening performance offers Irish jigs, reels, ballads and storytelling, brought to life by three dedicated ensembles – a memorable evening that will transport you to the heart of Celtic culture.

“This concert embodies our vision of music as a force for renewal and connection,” shares Rachel Burckardt, composer and TMC cofounder. “Our program weaves together traditional and contemporary pieces that capture the essence of Celtic music and celebrate our diverse musical heritage.”
Fronted by husband-and-wife duo Ciaran Nagle and Tara Novak (both of Riverdance and The Three Irish Tenors), Ishna members hail from around the world, bringing their different backgrounds to their musical explorations. Ishna’s performance is energetic and uplifting, infusing new rhythms, vocal harmonies and unexpected twists into the beloved music and stories of Ireland, capturing the nostalgia of the old sod while having its feet firmly planted in the Ireland of today. Audiences enjoy Ishna’s family-friendly shows, with their lively musical selections, spontaneous humor and award-winning dancers. Tickets to “A Celtic Celebration” are $36 general, $48 preferred seating, $60 dress circle, available at CelticCelebration_IshnaTMC.eventbrite.com, and at the door. St. Cecilia Church is fully accessible with a street-level entrance and elevator access to the main sanctuary located on Belvidere Street. Discounted parking is available at the Hynes Auditorium Garage on Dalton Street for $15 with a chaser ticket, available at the door.
