New pastor brings a heart for community, intergenerational faith formation, and hope-filled ministry

McGRATHPR.com – First Trinitarian Congregational Church of Scituate (FTCC), a United Church of Christ (UCC) parish, announces the appointment of Jen Christianson as settled pastor, beginning her ministry on October 1.  Pastor Jen joins FTCC from her prior seven-year pastoral role at Winnetka Covenant Church in Wilmette, Illinois. First ordained in 2018, she brings broad experience in pastoral care, preaching, and faith formation, along with a passion for building relationships across generations.

Reflecting on her calling, Pastor Jen shares, “I’ve always loved being with and caring for people. Ministry has been a natural element of my life, and I look forward to walking alongside this wonderful congregation as we plant seeds of hope and flourish together.” Her ministry approach emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and curiosity, aiming to nurture both parishioners and the wider community in a spirit of openness and acceptance.

Pastor Jen is inspired by Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” This scripture reflects her vision for ministry as a place of hope, healing, and engagement for all.
