McGRATHPR.com – Sandwich Arts Alliance (SAA), an artist-driven nonprofit organization supporting the region’s arts and artists, presents a spring events season featuring visual, performing, and literary arts events and programs, serving the Cape Cod community, at 130 Main Street, Sandwich and other community venues. SAA is home to a beautiful art gallery, gift shop, and bookstore, featuring the works of local and regional artists in gallery openings, exhibits and special events. Tales on a Winter’s Night

Experience an enchanting evening of storytelling and spoken word that will warm your heart on a cold winter’s night. It’s a celebration of the art of storytelling and spoken word, exploring the depths of human emotion embodied with the theme of ‘And my heart went pitter pat’. We’ll be featuring eight local storytellers who will transport the audience through tales that evoke a range of emotions and leave a lasting impact on all who attend.
Snapshot Stories ~ with Nicole Hendrick Donovan

In this workshop we will explore the power of “time travel” by using personal old photographs as our muse. In this stepping-stone class, we will explore reflective writing and how to use this sacred practice in your life. You’ll be introduced to guided meditation, techniques to enhance your intuition, and writing tools and prompts to tap into your imaginative mind.

Finding The Writer Within ~ with Linda Maria Steele

Finding the Writer Within invites writers of all levels and interests to explore different writing genres in a supportive writing community. The participants will write and read their work throughout the class. The workshop will be playful yet productive. This class is highly regarded and recommended for writers and non-writers alike.
A Gathering of Poets

Welcome to Memoir Boot Camp, a 6-week writing challenge at Sandwich Arts Alliance. We’ll help you kickstart your memoir writing routine no matter your procrastination excuses. Look forward to in-class jots, at-home assignments, plenty of prompts, reading assignments/discussion and surprise visitors. All ages welcome!

Come play with playwriting! (Psst–inner critics don’t hang around writers who are just playing.) It’s fun, hard work, and mind-expanding. Prepare to laugh frequently. By the end, you might even have a play and/or the tools to write one on your own! To participate you will need a glass of water, a writing instrument (pen, pencil) and paper or a laptop.

Ball in the House is a Boston-based R&B/Soul/Pop acapella group, whose high energy shows have audiences singing, dancing, and even beatboxing along! About Sandwich Arts Alliance
Founded in 2015, Sandwich Arts Alliance (SAA) is an artist-driven nonprofit organization supporting the arts and artists – serving as a platform for new works, cultivating the creative economy, and culturally enriching the Sandwich and greater Cape Cod communities.
Sandwich Arts Alliance is comprised of four groups that meet regularly: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Literary Arts and Friends of the Arts. Membership is open to all artists and friends residing in Sandwich and beyond. As part of its mission, SAA collaborates with other nonprofit and community-based organizations to help promote a wide variety of cultural programming. SAA’s goal is to identify and support all local artists through a resource database, providing greater exposure and opportunities for fellow artist networking.
Sandwich Arts Alliance’s offerings include a gallery of original art, art classes for artists of all ages, books by local writers, a gift shop for year-round shopping, and performances throughout the year. Its gallery, located at 130 Main Street, Sandwich, is open to the public from Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 4 pm (winter) and Wednesday through Sunday, 12 noon to 4 pm (spring).
