SELA 2nd graders Dash A. (Hingham), Julia P. (Hingham), and Julian N. (Cohasset) collaborated on a National Parks project, exploring the effects of wind and water on land. They focused on the landform of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, detailing how this monument has changed over time due to wind and water. McGRATHPR.com – Selections from SELA: The International Private School’s premiere “All-School Exhibit,” showcasing its Early Global Education and Elementary School students’ educational projects throughout this school year, will be hosted at Norwell Public Library from April 12 through May 10, and at Hingham Public Library from April 13 through May 1, on view during library business hours. SELA is the only full Spanish immersion school in Southeastern Massachusetts.

“The in-school debut of Exhibition was an incredible success, where our students proudly detailed the multi-medium works in the diverse subjects they study in class all year,” shares SELA Director of Admissions Alexandra Perry.  “The pride in their efforts was evident in each student’s expression, as they made presentations culminating their progressive effort and curriculum throughout a year of hard work, learning, and fun.  We hope the public will enjoy the exhibits in their hometown libraries, where these colorful, educational projects will shine over the next month.”

Founded in 2004 in Cohasset as Su Escuela Language Center, the school launched with the goal of preparing English-speaking children to excel linguistically, academically, and socially in global society through instruction in a second and third language. In July of 2011, the academy expanded and opened the doors at its flagship campus in Hingham. Now established as SELA: The International Private School, its educational model has continued to expand, now offering Early Global Education programs for infants through age 5, in addition to the Private Elementary and Middle School programs for Kindergarten through grade 8.  Today, with locations in Hingham and Norwell, SELA is the first and only full Spanish immersion school in Southeastern Massachusetts.
