THE BOSTON GLOBE – PLYMOUTH Bells will ring when Americana Theatre Company performs a holiday season production of “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” based on the classic 1940s movie. A small ensemble will take on more than 40 roles with microphones, sound effects, and the quintessential “applause” sign gracing the stage as the story unfolds. The production will take place at Plymouth Center for the Arts, 11 North St., starting on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m., with shows on selected dates through Sunday, Dec. 15. WALPOLE Michael Ponsor, a senior US district judge and a novelist, will speak on “Capital Punishment in Fact and in Fiction” at Walpole Public Library. PLYMOUTH Pilgrim Festival Chorus will present “Wintersong,” a holiday season concert of carols created by living choral composers Dan Forrest, Mack Wilberg, John Rutter, and James Whitbourn.
