Nine regional authors to appear
at sidewalk signing event in Cohasset
McGRATHPR.com – Buttonwood Books and Toys, Cohasset’s independent book and toy store, hosts a Local Authors Signing Day on Saturday, June 12, from 10 am to 2 pm at 747 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy., (Rte. 3A) at its storefront sidewalk in Shaw’s plaza. Children’s title authors appear from 10:30 am to noon, and adult title authors from 12:30 pm to 2 pm. Each author’s title will be available for signing and purchase on site. The outdoor event is family-friendly, attendance is free.
Buttonwood Books has long championed local authors, with a mission to stay “rooted in the community”. Its Local Authors Signing Day gives the public a chance to meet several authors in person, discuss their title and purchase author inscribed books. Topics widely vary, connected by the author’s regional presence in the greater South Shore. The authors appear in two grouped categories:
Children’s Title Authors – 10:30 am to 12 noon
The Farmer’s Promise by Elaine Kiklis (Scituate)
Thistle’s Magical Whistle by Jeff Michaelson (Hingham)
Bunnies Don’t Box by Mary Clair (Weymouth)
The Legend of the Chocolate Cows by Frank DeGiacomo (Norwell)
Light, Bright Light by Conor Detwiler (Scituate/Argentina)
Adult Title Authors – 12:30 pm to 2 pm
The Flowers of Peggotty Beach by Ken Spears (Stoughton/childhood summers in Scituate) Coming of Age
Parted Waters by Deborah Cook (Cohasset) Fiction
The Creative Table by Michelle M. McGrath (Scituate) Cookbook
What Kind of Girl? by Caroline Kautsire (Weymouth) Memoir
