A family-friendly evening of delights awaits at the “Art Auction and Global Market,” where art and handmade crafts from local and international fine artists are on display and up for bid in a festive market atmosphere.  Highlights of the event include fun activities for the kids! A petting zoo, Kid’s Create Art and an African Dance Class spotlight the fun. Entertainment by World Music Award-winning band Kalifa & Koliba, food catered by Best of the South Shore’s Clandestine Kitchen and a beer and wine bar are sure to please adults. A silent auction containing unique art and exceptional services.  The International Market Table’s one-of-a-kind treasures make wonderful gifts and conversation pieces, all while supporting a great cause benefiting teenagers.

KJWF provides financially challenged urban teen students the opportunity to create global objectivity and travel abroad in charitable service.  KJWF provides student service trips to Rwanda, where they have assisted 500 orphaned teens at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. While providing service to this community abroad, the Boston teens, most never having never traveled out of the country, gain a new understanding of the developing world. The nonprofit most recently added opportunities for students to learn from and provide community service at Navajo Nation, situated across a vast expanse of our nation in  Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Founded in 2010, enhancing the education of youth is at the heart of The Kerry Jon Walker Fund’s mission.  Amongst its accomplishments, KJWF provided 3000 lbs. of books, maps, and educational materials, as well as school uniforms, to village schools in Guinea, West Africa.  The community ranks amongst the poorest in the world, home to the region’s most deprived children.

Admission to the “Art Auction and Global Market” is $45 for adults, $10 for kids, available at the door and at thekerryfund.org.  Children ages 12 and under are admitted for free. Admission fee and purchases may be paid for by cash, check, and credit card on site.  To learn more or support the Kerry Jon Walker Fund, visit thekerryfund.org.
