Tribute Album Release Party

Vastly accomplished local musicians Juli and Jon Finn celebrate their new album Tribute, an amalgamation of Bonnie Raitt covers in homage to the celebrity, and a Juli Finn original. The band for the newly released EP will perform the entire album and originals, with Juli and Jon Finn on guitar and vocals, Joe Santerre, bass guitar, Larry Finn, drums and Rich Cesarini, keys. “Dig Deep,” the sole original track among the album’s array of covers, originated from Finns’ album research explored in Raitt’s own interview conversations.
Tribute offers an eclectic mix of Raitt’s cover tracks, including “Give it Up or Let Me Go” (Bonnie Raitt), “Love Me Like a Man” (Chris Smither), “Angel from Montgomery” (John Prine), “Walking Blues” (Robert Johnson) and Juli Finn’s original “Dig Deep”, a songwriter publishing premiere.
Singer/songwriter Juli Finn and Grammy® nominated performing/recording artist Jon Finn often engage in the music they make uniquely together, a captivating take on jazz, blues, pop and classical, covers and originals, in an organic mix of styles, songs and interpretation. Both performing artists have appeared the world over in such prestigious concert venues as Tanglewood, Carnegie Hall, Seattle’s Sky Church, Portland’s Roseland Theater and many more. The duo also performs as part of other ensembles, including The Jon Finn Group (established in 1988), The Experts (70’s cover band), and sit in with other local artists.
Tribute is now available on all streaming platforms. The album is produced by Jon and Juli Finn with Jeff Largent, sound engineer, Dave Shaheen and Charlie Hollis, videographers, and cover art by Rachel Turner of Visual Solutions.

Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive, Berklee College of Music

Juli Finn is a featured educator at this summer’s Aspire Performance Intensive at Berklee College of Music, teaching private guitar and songwriting curriculum. Aspire is the world’s most comprehensive summer music performance program. From one-on-one instruction with Berklee’s renowned faculty to a rigorous curriculum offering college credit, this immersive program enhances instrumental or vocal performance mastery. Students learn how to groove in a band, develop improvisational and reading skills, and improve technique in weekly private lessons. They also explore facets of the music industry such as songwriting, music production, music business, music therapy and more through elective coursework. Students live on campus for the program for a completely immersive learning experience. Notable alumni include Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, and Betty Who, among the many Aspire alumni who have gone on to have successful music careers.

Juli Finn is a featured educator at this summer’s Songwriting Workshop at Berklee College of music, teaching songwriter ensembles and guitar for songwriters workshops. Students are immersed in the art of songwriting and discover effective melody, rhythm, harmony, and lyrical techniques. The one- or two-week program offers expert support and feedback on original student material from current industry professionals while learning tips and tricks for being successful in today’s music industry.

Musical theater might be said to have been invented in our country, and, in the last hundred years there have been countless productions, many of which focused on American life. Considering the wide range of choice, PFC has selected an “American Vignettes” program of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man”, and Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story”. And, in honor of the late Stephen Sondheim’s immense contribution to musical theater, we’ll perform a special tribute “Sondheim! A Choral Celebration”, which includes many of his best-known songs. Audiences will revel in the songs “Oklahoma,” “76 Trombones,” “Till There Was You,” “Maria,” “There’s a Place for Us,” “Comedy Tonight,” and “Send in the Clowns,” as well as many others. Talented soloists are drawn from the ensemble. A musical theater lovers’ dream come true!

“The Robber Bridegroom” is laugh-a-minute, southern, bluegrass, musical tall-tale and a classic piece of American literature. The story (originally written by Mississippi-born writer Eudora Welty) is a southern Robin Hood fairy-tale for adults. It’s about Jamie Lockhart – gentleman by day and bandit of the woods by night – who falls in love with the beautiful and feisty Rosamund. She is the daughter of a wealthy landowner whose new wife is the ugliest and meanest woman on the Natchez-Trace. Pepper in a brawny villain with no brains, a talking head (quite literally), and some of the most beautiful and fun bluegrass this side of the Mississippi and you got a recipe for a foot stomping, YEEEEE-Hawing, great time!

Baloo the lovable bear befriends Mowgli and saves him from the fearsome grasp of Kaa, the Python, and the wild Monkey-People. But who can save him from Shere Kahn?

Disney’s Newsies Jr. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies Jr. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.
When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right.
Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival
Celebrating its 43rd year, Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival announces its 2022 season of concerts, performing from August 2 through 19. Artistic Directors Jon Manasse and Jon Nakamatsu have programmed a stellar line-up of four top string quartets and five world-class pianists presenting expansive repertoire spanning four centuries.

Hailed by The New York Times as “A Triumph of Quality,” Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF) has been a presenter of chamber music and a major contributor to the cultural life of Cape Cod since its founding in 1979 by the late pianist Samuel Sanders, a longtime collaborator with Itzhak Perlman. The Festival’s current Artistic Directors Jon Manasse (clarinetist) and Jon Nakamatsu (pianist) represent the top ranks of American chamber music.
