An original commission by Back Porch Theater, “(Re)Dressing Miss Havisham” is a new play by John Minigan that reexamines Charles Dickens’ iconic character through a modern investigative lens. An actor with a background in criminology reopens the “cold case” of Miss Havisham’s death, blending forensics, research and performance to explore identity, independence and the lives of women—on and off the page.
