Join the Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra in a holiday season musical celebration, performing selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” “The Polar Express,” medley suite, Handel’s famed “Hallelujah Chorus,” plus nostalgic settings of  “Sleigh Ride,” “Cantique de Noel,” featuring guest soloists, and a beautiful arrangement of the quintessential carol of the season, “Silent Night.”  The orchestra also introduces two new works – “A Visit from Saint Nicholas,” enhanced by a special guest narrator, and “A Holly and Jolly Sing Along.” The merriment escalates when Santa makes an appearance to the joy of kids young and old, wrapping up this gift of a performance in an afternoon to remember!  This concert also serves as a benefit to Whitman Food Pantry, donations are accepted on site.  Sponsored in part by a grant from Whitman Cultural Council.

Considered the oldest continual civic orchestra in the country, Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1914 as the Whitman Orchestral Club.  The orchestra’s mission is to provide fun and experience for musicians and audiences of all ages and levels of accomplishment.
