Longtime arts educator offers engaging infant/youth music and drama classes

McGRATHPR.com – Creative Seeds Studio (CSS), a new resource offering engaging online music and drama classes for families with children ages 0 to 8, launches on May 3.  CSS is founded by Plymouth resident and longtime professional music educator Su D’Ambrosio.  Free demo classes are offered on April 27 and May 1, register to participate at Creative Seeds Studio Schedule.

In Creative Seeds Studio’s playful classes, young children explore and learn about music through singing, movement, rhythm play, stories and theatrical play. Each theme-focused session introduces music literacy and pre-reading skills by exploring rhyming, patterning and selected picture books. Drama classes focus on spatial awareness, vocal expression and character development through fun games and imaginative play, and culminate with an online presentation of a story, complete with costumes and props from home.  In family classes, the vital role of parents and families is recognized in cultivating their children’s “creative seeds.”  Parents and caregivers are given tools and tips to utilize the creative process at home to integrate into their daily lives.

About Creative Seeds Studio

Creative Seeds Studio (CSS), a new resource offering engaging online music and drama classes for families with children ages 0 to 8.  CSS is founded on the concept that children learn by participating in and experiencing concepts in their body. By actively singing, dancing, playing instruments and participating in the creative process, students achieve true understanding, master the creative seeds that are planted and primed for growth and development.

Founder and professional music educator Su D’Ambrosio has been teaching music for 30 years in diverse settings, including public school K-12 instrumental and general music, where she taught music classes, beginner band, chorus and jazz ensemble. After the birth of her first child, she discovered early childhood music and was hooked! Su’s teaching focuses on giving students the skills they need to be confident, creative artists, ready to move to the next level. Her classes are fun, interactive, and incorporate singing, movement, instrument play, listening and composition. She earned a MM from UMass Amherst, a BA from Smith College, Orff Level III Certification, Music Together and Musikgarten certifications, and training in Gordon Music Learning Theory. She is currently serving as President and Interim Managing Director for the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association. She has long resided in Plymouth with her daughters Maria, Rosa, and their dog Bernie.
