THE BOSTON GLOBE – Americana Theatre Company’s Studio Americana youth program in Plymouth presents the musical “The Reluctant Dragon.” No spoilers, but the story begins with Widget and his friend Henry discovering a dragon in a cave. The show will take place on Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m. in the Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25½ Court St. Tickets are available at the door; $10 for adults and $5 for children. Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton is hosting a Red Cross blood drive in its upper social hall on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The synagogue is located at 1179 Central St.. Attend the Cultivate Care Farms Annual Gala March 2 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, and solve a crime while you’re at it. Attendees should dress formally and bring a party mask to wear as they solve clues and figure out who committed the “murder” at the ball. Benefits of the night will go to Cultivate Care Animal Farms , a Boltonnonprofit that rescues farm animals who then rescue people through animal-assisted psychotherapy for individuals battling mental health, addiction, and other problems. The gala will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $100 for an individual, $150 for a couple, and should be bought in advance. Visit ccfgala.org.

The Bridgewater Public Library has started a new monthly program to watch and discuss TED Talks about topics ranging from science and technology to culture and arts. After watching about 40 minutes of the recorded presentations, viewers will engage in roughly 20 minutes of discussion. This month’s topic is “Life-Long Learning” and will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. The TED Talks program is free and will be held at the library, 15 South St. Visit bridgewaterpubliclibrary.org.
