McGRATHPR.com – South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Conservatory Concert Series (CCS) presents All You Need is Love: Music of the Beatles on Sunday, February 11, 4 pm at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham, and on Sunday, February 18, 4 pm at 64 St. George Street in Duxbury. This concert is the fourth of five productions in CCS’s 2017/18 season.

All You Need is Love features SSC classical and jazz/rock/pop faculty members presenting free interpretations of Beatles songs, in varying instrumental combinations. The audience will hear Beatles tunes they know and love, but this time with an interesting twist; perhaps with the exciting addition of an oboe or flute. SSC faculty make these familiar melodies their own.

CCS concerts showcase the diverse talents of the Conservatory’s faculty of nearly 100 educator/performers. Admission to the concert is free, helping advance SSC’s mission of expanding access to arts education and performance. All concerts are on Sunday at 4 pm and include a reception where audience members are invited to meet the performers.

Coordinated by SSC pianist Mark Goodman, this special performance features Ed Broms, keyboard, bass, vocal; Paul Hoffman, keyboard, vocal, Elan Mehler, piano; Ed Sorrentino, drums; Holly Jennings, vocal; John McCarthy, guitar, vocal; Elizabeth England, oboe; Don Zook, flute; as well as Goodman on piano and bass.

The final 2017/2018 CCS performances is Going Rogue: SSC’s Voice Department flips in March.

South Shore Conservatory is committed to being an organization that welcomes the widest range of audience members possible – removing barriers to participation and welcoming everyone in, regardless of ability.  Both its Hingham and Duxbury campuses are wheelchair accessible.  For more detailed information about accessibility, please visit SSC’s Know Before You Go page.
