The Company Theatre Announces 2018 Special Events Series

The New Band – Friday, January 5, 8 pm, tickets are $25

From Gladys Knight to Bruno Mars, from the ’50’s to the songs of today, The New Band is a favorite for Classic Rock, R&B and Pop. “They play everything!” You’ll hear songs in a brand new way when they take classic solos and turn them into blazing duets.      A portion of the proceeds to benefit The Weymouth High School Theater Company Boosters.

Roomful of Blues – Saturday, January 6, 8 pm, tickets are $26

With five Grammy Award nominations and seven Blues Music Awards, Roomful of Blues continues to deliver its signature blend of swing, rock ‘n’ roll, jump, blues and R&B. Blues Revue says, “…contagious, finger-popping, head-bopping grooves…the horns blast loud and proud…explosive and electrifying. Roomful of Blues is a sheer joy!”

Vegas Country – A Tribute to Shania Twain and Tim McGraw, Saturday, January 13, 4 and 8 pm, tickets are $34

If you love country, come see the ultimate Shania Twain & Tim McGraw Tribute Show. Accomplished musicians Donna Huber and Adam Tucker, accompanied by a full back-up band will have you believe you are watching the actual artists perform.  Donna has played internationally and throughout the country in her role as Shania Twain having appeared on national TV. She was recognized in Twain’s autobiography for her uncanny performances as Shania.  McGraw has been named one of the best country tribute artists and continues to perform in the U.S. and Canada. Together, they put on an impressive and unforgettable show.

Classic Stones Live – featuring The Glimmer Twins, Saturday, February 3, 8 pm, tickets are $30

Mutts Gone Nuts – Tuesday, February 20, 3 pm; Wednesday, February 21, 3 and 7 pm, tickets are $16 children, $20 adults

Come to the Canine Cabaret and meet Scott and Joan Houghton and their hilarious pack of pooches (all rescue dogs).  This training team has created a comedy dog thrill show like no other. Expect the unexpected in this top-notch presentation that includes: incredible high flying Frisbee dogs, tight wire dogs, dancing dogs, magic dogs and of course, the one and only . . . Sammie the Talking Dog!

The Magic Of Lyn – Thursday, February 22, 3 and 7 pm, tickets are $16 children, $20 adults

Master illusionist Lyn Dillies returns to The Company Theatre in her award-winning performance. Late Nite Catechism – Saturday, February 24, 4 and 7:30 pm; Sunday, February 25, 3 pm, tickets are $30

Late Nite Catechism is a sinfully funny play that takes the audience back to their school days. The irrepressible Sister teaches class to a roomful of students (the audience). She’ll remind you of the “good old days” of the Latin Mass, meatless Fridays and the many uses of a ruler.  Naughty students may well find themselves on stage sitting in a corner, but even the most reluctant students will be clamoring to get into this sister’s class. The New York Times calls it “uproarious interactive theatre!” It’s a habit-forming hoot that delights people of all denominations!

Barbra & Frank – A Sensational Tribute to Sinatra & Streisand, Saturday, May 12, 4 and 8 pm, tickets are $34

This is your chance to experience Ol’ Blue Eyes and Babs sharing the stage in one memorable concert. Two world-class performers pay tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand accompanied by a first-class band. The Jersey Seasons – An Incredible Recreation of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Saturday, June 2, 8 pm, tickets are $30

More than a concert, this re-creation of a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons concert will have you reaching for the high notes when they take you on this journey that illuminates and highlights their careers. The music of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons comes to life in a reenactment of a Frankie Valli concert experience. Hear all your favorite classic songs that have thrilled audiences for decades: Sherry, Walk Like a Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry, and many more.

Divas With a Twist – Tuesday, June 5, 7:30 pm, tickets are $25

Divas with a Twist features some of the hottest females voices in the Boston area along with Grammy nominated musicians, dynamic vocals and refreshingly new arrangements of pop, rock, jazz, country and Broadway!

The Company Theatre’s Special Events Series tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or at the box office at 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell.  The box office is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, and during all performances.
